Backup Services

All businesses require an effective continuity and recovery plan to prevent suffering significant reputational damage, loss of sales, general operating costs and more often than not, never fully recovering.

How would you manage?

Without data, without services - you have no business. Additionally, the cost of downtime can be significant. From lost transactions and productivity to reputational damage and regulatory fines, many businesses never fully recover from an unmanaged disaster.

If you don't have a business continuity and disaster recovery plan in place, you need one.

Primary causes of downtime?

Whilst we cannot protect against every cause of downtime, we can make sure we're in a position to recover from it quickly. There are many potential causes.

  • People. Our greatest asset is also our biggest weakness.
  • Cyber-Attacks. Phishing, Malware, Impersonation.
  • Hardware or software failure.
  • Theft or loss.
  • Natural disasters, floods, fires, global pandemics.
  • Power outages.

Did you know?

Article 32 of the GDPR indicates that if personal data is lost, an organisation will be held responsible for the recovery of that data and must recover it promptly.

58% of small/medium businesses are not prepared for a data loss incident, and 60% of those companies that lose data will shut down within six months.

Types of solution

There are three primary types of solutions in case of a disaster.

  • Backup - This is simply a copy of data. Storage media and solutions vary but will require manual recovery.
  • Business Continuity (BC) - This type of solution will provide a means to continue running the business services and data access with as little disruption as possible.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) - A DR solution allows for a full recovery to the pre-disaster state.

What can we offer?

Noble has partnered with the market leaders of several backup and recovery areas. This includes onsite backups, full BC & DR solutions as well cloud backup solutions.

We must first understand your business and the risk of downtime. We'll need to calculate your Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO): How quickly the need to recover and how far back.

From there, we can align a solution that meets your needs.

Alongside Cyber Security, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans are arguably the most important elements of your technology to get right. Downtime is not always avoidable but being able to manage the outage appropriately will minimise the damage. Talk to us about your backup, business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
